Cafe Del Mar

As usual, Monday blue!
Worse, I was totally pissed off with “somebody” before lunch. Poor Eileen, got to absorb all my cursing and swearing while lunching with me.

I’m super duper irritated lor!!! If you’ve watched ‘Just Follow Law’, then you’ll probably understand how I feel. It’s the part on black & white, cover backside thingy. Nabei~

*trying to cool myself down... Urmmm*

Meet up with Ken and Vincent after work. Anyway Ken has 4 buddies and Vincent is one of them. This guy loves to drive. Out of 100 times, 99 times he will send us home after we went out together. He doesn’t stay too far though but he’s the type, even if u stay at Boon Lay, he’ll also send u home provided u and him are on pretty good terms la.

In the past, we will go out in pairs, me & ken, he and his girlfriend. We’ll go play board games, catch prawns, catch crabs, cycling, shopping, ktv, bowling, etc… But now, no more cause they’ve separated. Was quite surprise it ended this way though. Hope they’ll be back together one day and we can resume the above activities.

Oh no, digressed too much.

As I was saying, I met up with Ken and Vincent after work right, so we went to Tiong Bahru market for our dinner. After that, we went to this beach bar at Sentosa, Café Del Mar. This place is VERY nice! Is a wonderful place to gather for a drink with your partner or friends. There’s a mini pool and Jacuzzi, they have “bed” seats, where u can lie on and face the sea or admire the stars in the sky…

Damn shiok… Most importantly, the prices are very affordable. As such, please expect average quality too. Get what I mean?

Too bad I didn’t bring my camera along. Got to take using my N73… *hee*

Know what, the hotel (or resort?) I’ve been wanting to stay is just behind the bar. Nah~ the one built-in with the forest or trees (whatever la), that gives a very nature feel one… That’s the one la! The rates for weekdays are much much cheaper, almost like half. Hmm, should I go there during my compliance leave or should I go overseas? I must start planning now…

PosT-DateD EntRieS... (PaRt 2)

Now for part 2....

LuNar NeW YeaR

As usual, we went back Malaysia to 拜年. It's our yearly routine. The only difference this year was, we've a new family member. I've officially upgraded to 表姨 since last year. If you do recall, I've an entry about my cousin's wedding and TADAH, here's her little boy....

So cute right!

I secretly asked her "Is it fun to be a wife cum mum?" and she replied "Not fun at all".

*Gasp*

Maybe she's not used to such lifestyle? Moreover, she's still young.... As her 表姐, of cause i'll want her to be always 快乐 and 幸福 la...

The next happening event is the fireworks. Although it's "banned" in Malaysia but alot of people can still get it illegally. So during chinese new year, you'll still get to hear alot of 炮声, one house follow by another. Very 热闹, unlike Singapore. The fireworks are comparable to what you see during National Day, in terms of the pattern la. Imagine, seeing fireworks right before your eyes.... How nice right! In the past, it's just some simple rocket, light up, shoot and "pop" but now, though it's illegal, but it seems like they've upgraded their products.

The fireworks are not cheap though. I heard it cost about RM$400 to RM$800 per box, depending on the quality. Think my uncle bought quite a few lor....

These are the normal ones

88 Shots Cake means it will "shoot" 88 times!

See how ordinary looking these boxes are?!?

Here are some random photos i took throughout my stay....

My uncle's German Shepherd, only 1 yrs old but it's huge!

Organised a buffet session on 初二

Yummy!

Besides his normal business, my uncle has recently ventured into another business... Dragon Fruit! Looks like next time, i'll get to eat lot's of them... *heehee* I heard these fruits are very rich in nutrients or vitamins, especially the red ones. I think he has both... *grin*

His Dragon Fruit plantation

Still growing....

By next year, should have some 收获 already.

MiniStry oF SouNd!

After sooo long, i finally visited this place!

Kind of boring though... Or is it because I'm old?!? Hmm, maybe is the people i went with. *Oopss*

Post-Dated Entries... (Part 1)

Finally, i have time to update my blog. So stop complaining!

Frankly speaking, I've lots to update but because the events happened so long ago, i kind of forgot the "feel" already. Therefore, I'll update the most recent activities.

Hmmm... let's see... My Birthday and Lunar New Year entries? Think these 2 are the most recent liao.

My Birthday

Basically nothing special. Haha! Merely took leave and went out with Ken.
All i can remember was, we went to Party World at International Building (besides Lido).
You know ah, their TVs are all LCD lor! Not sure if else where are the same but Party World at Singtel, confirm don't have. Anyway, the place is new plus i went during weekdays, hence not many people, clean and quiet.

After that, we went to Clarke Quay. Wanted to try out Clinic but Ken was not feeling too well, so we gave up the idea. In the end, we just loiter around and took some photos before going back.

That rounds off my birthday celebration with Ken. *heehee*

Oh, as for my friends, they have made my birthday a special one too. My secondary buddies celebrated with me at Lian's house. It was supposed to be a BBQ at Eebon's house but 天不做美 (correct?) plus not many people can make it, hence it somehow affected my mood and also partly because of pre-birthday syndrome la! Celebrating myself getting older?!? Arghh...

Anyway Eebon, dawn, Lilian and Jade still went ahead to meet up at Lian's house despite me saying many MANY times "I'm not going out!". After i took a nap and woke up at around 7pm, i finally made my way there. We kicked off with mahjong. Ken joined us at 10plus. After that, i still have a small slice of cake plus present! It was past midnight and we decided not to carry on with 2nd round of mahjong, but stay to chit-chat and play with their Nintendo DS instead. So tempted to buy. *Haha*

As for my polymates, we met up and have dinner at Marina Square Cafe Cartel. Too bad Xiao Mao couldn't made it. The 3 of us were sitting outside (smoking area) and suddenly this uncle walked past and sat beside the next table. Don't know he's mentally unstable or what, but he was actually talking to us!

Uncle: Wah, seldom see 3 girls eating alone outside leh. Usually will have guys by the side one hor.

Us: Ignore...

*3 ang mo walked past and he shouted for them*

Uncle: You see this 3 girls, eating alone. Nowadays where got girls eat alone one.

Us: Ignore again!

Uncle: You know hor, girls cannot eat carrot one. Wait your hair will turn red like the carrot.

Us: .......

What the &*%$%#!!! Freak us out man! Luckily, after a while, the uncle left. *phew*

Anyway Ken and Alex (Sharon's husband) joined us shortly after we finished our dinner and we proceed to Instinct, a ktv pub near Bugis. Left after a jar of beer. Haha! No choice, next day got to work...

Lastly, meeting with Eileen and Clam. Met at Marina Square too. Shop for a while and had our dinner at 店小二. Food not bad, environment abit noisy la. After that hor, we continued shopping. *Wahaha*

Belle left earlier to meet Heng Heng. Me and eileen carry on with our shopping while waiting for Ken and after that, took a cab home.

Just want to thank everyone who celebrated my birthday with me. Thank you!

MuMmY's BiRthDaY

Happy Birthday to you...
Happy Birthday to you...
Happy Birthday to Mummy...
Happy Birthday to YOU!!

We had a 温馨 dinner at this very old looking, and damn retro restaurant along Bendemeer road. It's actually located under the HDB flat. In the past, i used to pass by this restaurant when i took bus 133. Always thinking to myself, this restaurant looks so old, got customers meh?!?

But to my surprise, it can be quite crowded during weekends.

The first time i went there was to celebrate Ken's auntie's birthday. The moment i stepped in, i was like "whao, so 60s!". The interior design was really REALLY very retro. Guess what, they are the first restaurant to have Yu Sheng but of cause we didn't ordered that la. We had a set meal for 8-10 persons though. Their dishes are not bad, especially their crispy chicken and yam ring, very yummy. The best thing is, the prices are reasonable too! No GST and service charge.

Hence, during my mum's birthday, i brought her there too. Let her have a feel of the 60s restaurant. *Hahaha*

Unfortunately, that day it was kind of crowded and the waiter/ waitress didn't really bother to entertain me when i stepped into the restaurant. Worse thing is, I've booked a table for 4! Before me, there was this stupid, irritating, horrible, ass couple. There was a table right infront of the entrance and the waitress was asking them to sit there BUT this stupid, irritating, horribe ass couple actually said "No! we don't want to sit at the entrance" and proceeded to another table inside BY THEMSELVES!

Because of their stupid, unreasonable, irritating action, we end up sitting at the table at the entrance! Nabei~ I reserved table one lor!! Si bei fed up ah... keep staring at the ASS couple!
Wanted to make a super big fuss but because it's my mum's birthday, i shall not make things too ugly.

Anyway, my conclusion of this restaurant is... GO DURING WEEKDAYS, when it's not so crowded. As i said, the food are good and prices are reasonable, so it's still worth eating there.

Here's a picture of my bill....

By the way, it's was $102.20 because my dad drank 2 bottles of Carlsberg lor! Cannot drink beer there, abit ex la!

My New Monitor!

Nice? I bought this from the PC show =)
