The ObserVatorY (Con't...)

Well, I'm not sure about the rest of the people who are there, but to me...
IT'S VERY VERY BORING!!!

I tried very hard but I really don't know how to appreciate their music. Vincent said it was alternative rock?!? What ever it was, it sounds like lullaby to me. 总之not my type of music la!

After 45mins, we gave up. Wanted to leave but we still have a jug of Volka Orange, so we headed to Phuture and know what, we felt sooOoOOoo much better! I reckoned Phuture can't play their happening music till the event was over. Otherwise, everyone would be at Phuture partying instead lor. *Oopps*

Anyway we didn't stay for too long... left at around 11.30 to avoid midnight charges and also because next day got mahjong session la. So need to recuperate our energy. *haha*

While waiting for the event to start

Fat Nan!*haha*

How i wish this is mine!

The ObsErvatOry

Going Zouk tonight...

Vincent has this invitation to the official launch concert of The Observatory's new album, so he invited both ken and me along.

Hmmm.... the last time i went Zouk was with Vincent, his gf and Ken. Left before 12am cause his gf was drunk. Hah!

Anyway, i really don't know what to expect tonight and have no clue who's "The Observatory" but i certainly hope it'll be fun!

Shall update again...

PisSeD Off....

Si Bei Irritated!!!

As a HR administrator, i'll need to prepare termination checklist for resignation cases. So there's this particular field - Date of Hire, which requires me to input the employee's hired date. So inorder to find out the date, I'll need to access the HR database. The problem is, it will show 4 different types of date, namely Country Hire Date, Sillygrp Hire Date, Company Seniority Date and Service Date. If the dates are the same, it's still ok! The only problem is when the dates shown are different.

Since I've been so confused over this, I decided to ask S. Unluckily, she's not very sure either and asked me to check with payroll. So i did!

To prevent payroll from "arrowing" me, i lie to them saying i've a case where different dates are shown for a particular employee, and would like to seek clarification on which date to use.... Suay enough, the person asked me to provide her with the employee ID so that she can check and advise appropriately. Damn! So i think hard, and somehow avoided that question and asked her to advise in general, so she told me i should use "Sillygrp Hire Date".

But when i check those query reports (something like h/c report) that i always run, under "Hire Date", it actually reflects the "Country Hire Date" intead! So i asked her why is it for Termination Checklist we use Sillygrp Hire Date where the reports show Country Hire Date as the "Date of Hire".

Then guess what! Another person replied saying "XX, can u pls guide Wendy how to choose the sillygrp and Country Hire Date from the query report. It's difficult for us to share/view her report since we're not sitting together".

WHAT THE FARK!!! I feel like scolding her the bad-dest (my definition of worse than worst) word i can think off! This is NOT the 1st time i encounter her UNFRIENDLINESS!

HEY! I KNOW HOW TO CHOOSE THE COUNTRY & SILLYGRP HIRE DATE FROM THE QUERY OK! It's just that for our H/C reporting, we're using Country Hire Date and that's why I'm seeking clarification right!

Furthermore S is the one who asked me to check with payroll and now payroll asked S to guide me. How ironic! I'm super duper pissed off lor. Obviously i can't reply her, telling her that S is not sure either right... Arghh! So it's me who gana again lor!

气! 很气! 非常气!!!

Si BeI sIaN...

Was so looking forward to last Thursday cause it was the last working day of the week.
Met up with Ken after work, but because we have no where to go, we headed home. Like so boring right... but NO... we've planned to meet Vincent at around 10.15pm to go St. James!

While lazing at home, i started to feel more & more unwell. Which means to say, i already felt unwell in the day but trying to deceive myself that it's nothing serious, i'll feel better later. Why? Cause the next day is a non-working day... LONG WEEKEND! I don't want to spoil my long weekend u see...

Who knows, instead of getting better, it got worse! So no choice, cannot go St. James liao lor. By then, it was around 9.45pm le... Urged Ken to msg Vincent, but instead of saying I'm the one not feeling well, i asked him to say himself (i.e Ken la) not feeling well. *hee* I know it's a bit bad la... but I just have the feeling that Vincent will not believe that i'm unwell even though we claimed so. (-_-)"

True enough, my condition worsened (even more) the next day! Other than sharp stomach (or gastric?) pain, constant diarrhoea, i have fever too! God! How pitiful! Didn't see a doctor though. Mum bought me some chinese medicine instead. After 2 dosages, felt a little better but still energy-less. Went to have a cold bath (really no heater on lor) for the sake of lowering my temperature. It worked and i thought i was recovering well. However, in the middle of the night, i suddenly felt extremely cold. Covered myself with blanket, wore a 2nd layer of top and even wore socks to keep my feet warm BUT NO USE! The cold is from inside... and i really mean inside of my body! Very very 不好受. Ken freaked out! After xx mins, i finally fell asleep.

Next day morning still feverish. Ken still asked me "So should we cancel the mahjong session later?". Guess what's my reply? I said "no need" *hahaha* and nua on my bed to rest.

Oh, for ur info, I've been mahjong-ing for the past few weeks with Ken's frens. Seems like a weekly event 了. LOL~

Anyway, back to the same topic.

I decided not to cancel the mahjong session was because if i'm still very sick by then, at least Ken can play ma. If i'm a little better, then i can join in lor. Furthermore mahjong doesn't require much energy and i don't have to step out of my house what. *grin*
Having said that ah, i felt bad for not turning up at liz's grandfather's funeral. 1stly, i'm sick... 2ndly, i've no car so also not convenient for me to go down. Sorry liz!

Alright, i did played a few rounds la. But towards the night, i felt feverish again. So Ken took over and i went to bed. Yah, while they're playing in my room, i was sleeping on my bed with YoGee! Luckily i didn't snore! *phew*

So, my unwell-ness dragged on till today. Went to see a doctor on Sunday night. Which means, i'm on 2 days MC but to be more specific, it's 1.5 days la. Went back office on Monday morning to finish up some urgent stuffs. One of my colleague, S, is out for training and i'm supposed to help close up 2 resignation cases. Deadline for submission is Monday, so no choice, have to work on it otherwise the resignees will not be able to get their pay this month.

Hai....

Think my boss is going to kill me soon! =( But i really sick what!

Anyway, i doubt i'll stay there for long. Though my colleagues are ok, working environment is good, salary is acceptable but i don't feel secure working there... maybe because i'm on contract basis. Hmm... see how ba... Shall take one step at a time...

Cafe Del Mar

As usual, Monday blue!
Worse, I was totally pissed off with “somebody” before lunch. Poor Eileen, got to absorb all my cursing and swearing while lunching with me.

I’m super duper irritated lor!!! If you’ve watched ‘Just Follow Law’, then you’ll probably understand how I feel. It’s the part on black & white, cover backside thingy. Nabei~

*trying to cool myself down... Urmmm*

Meet up with Ken and Vincent after work. Anyway Ken has 4 buddies and Vincent is one of them. This guy loves to drive. Out of 100 times, 99 times he will send us home after we went out together. He doesn’t stay too far though but he’s the type, even if u stay at Boon Lay, he’ll also send u home provided u and him are on pretty good terms la.

In the past, we will go out in pairs, me & ken, he and his girlfriend. We’ll go play board games, catch prawns, catch crabs, cycling, shopping, ktv, bowling, etc… But now, no more cause they’ve separated. Was quite surprise it ended this way though. Hope they’ll be back together one day and we can resume the above activities.

Oh no, digressed too much.

As I was saying, I met up with Ken and Vincent after work right, so we went to Tiong Bahru market for our dinner. After that, we went to this beach bar at Sentosa, Café Del Mar. This place is VERY nice! Is a wonderful place to gather for a drink with your partner or friends. There’s a mini pool and Jacuzzi, they have “bed” seats, where u can lie on and face the sea or admire the stars in the sky…

Damn shiok… Most importantly, the prices are very affordable. As such, please expect average quality too. Get what I mean?

Too bad I didn’t bring my camera along. Got to take using my N73… *hee*

Know what, the hotel (or resort?) I’ve been wanting to stay is just behind the bar. Nah~ the one built-in with the forest or trees (whatever la), that gives a very nature feel one… That’s the one la! The rates for weekdays are much much cheaper, almost like half. Hmm, should I go there during my compliance leave or should I go overseas? I must start planning now…

PosT-DateD EntRieS... (PaRt 2)

Now for part 2....

LuNar NeW YeaR

As usual, we went back Malaysia to 拜年. It's our yearly routine. The only difference this year was, we've a new family member. I've officially upgraded to 表姨 since last year. If you do recall, I've an entry about my cousin's wedding and TADAH, here's her little boy....

So cute right!

I secretly asked her "Is it fun to be a wife cum mum?" and she replied "Not fun at all".

*Gasp*

Maybe she's not used to such lifestyle? Moreover, she's still young.... As her 表姐, of cause i'll want her to be always 快乐 and 幸福 la...

The next happening event is the fireworks. Although it's "banned" in Malaysia but alot of people can still get it illegally. So during chinese new year, you'll still get to hear alot of 炮声, one house follow by another. Very 热闹, unlike Singapore. The fireworks are comparable to what you see during National Day, in terms of the pattern la. Imagine, seeing fireworks right before your eyes.... How nice right! In the past, it's just some simple rocket, light up, shoot and "pop" but now, though it's illegal, but it seems like they've upgraded their products.

The fireworks are not cheap though. I heard it cost about RM$400 to RM$800 per box, depending on the quality. Think my uncle bought quite a few lor....

These are the normal ones

88 Shots Cake means it will "shoot" 88 times!

See how ordinary looking these boxes are?!?

Here are some random photos i took throughout my stay....

My uncle's German Shepherd, only 1 yrs old but it's huge!

Organised a buffet session on 初二

Yummy!

Besides his normal business, my uncle has recently ventured into another business... Dragon Fruit! Looks like next time, i'll get to eat lot's of them... *heehee* I heard these fruits are very rich in nutrients or vitamins, especially the red ones. I think he has both... *grin*

His Dragon Fruit plantation

Still growing....

By next year, should have some 收获 already.

MiniStry oF SouNd!

After sooo long, i finally visited this place!

Kind of boring though... Or is it because I'm old?!? Hmm, maybe is the people i went with. *Oopss*

Post-Dated Entries... (Part 1)

Finally, i have time to update my blog. So stop complaining!

Frankly speaking, I've lots to update but because the events happened so long ago, i kind of forgot the "feel" already. Therefore, I'll update the most recent activities.

Hmmm... let's see... My Birthday and Lunar New Year entries? Think these 2 are the most recent liao.

My Birthday

Basically nothing special. Haha! Merely took leave and went out with Ken.
All i can remember was, we went to Party World at International Building (besides Lido).
You know ah, their TVs are all LCD lor! Not sure if else where are the same but Party World at Singtel, confirm don't have. Anyway, the place is new plus i went during weekdays, hence not many people, clean and quiet.

After that, we went to Clarke Quay. Wanted to try out Clinic but Ken was not feeling too well, so we gave up the idea. In the end, we just loiter around and took some photos before going back.

That rounds off my birthday celebration with Ken. *heehee*

Oh, as for my friends, they have made my birthday a special one too. My secondary buddies celebrated with me at Lian's house. It was supposed to be a BBQ at Eebon's house but 天不做美 (correct?) plus not many people can make it, hence it somehow affected my mood and also partly because of pre-birthday syndrome la! Celebrating myself getting older?!? Arghh...

Anyway Eebon, dawn, Lilian and Jade still went ahead to meet up at Lian's house despite me saying many MANY times "I'm not going out!". After i took a nap and woke up at around 7pm, i finally made my way there. We kicked off with mahjong. Ken joined us at 10plus. After that, i still have a small slice of cake plus present! It was past midnight and we decided not to carry on with 2nd round of mahjong, but stay to chit-chat and play with their Nintendo DS instead. So tempted to buy. *Haha*

As for my polymates, we met up and have dinner at Marina Square Cafe Cartel. Too bad Xiao Mao couldn't made it. The 3 of us were sitting outside (smoking area) and suddenly this uncle walked past and sat beside the next table. Don't know he's mentally unstable or what, but he was actually talking to us!

Uncle: Wah, seldom see 3 girls eating alone outside leh. Usually will have guys by the side one hor.

Us: Ignore...

*3 ang mo walked past and he shouted for them*

Uncle: You see this 3 girls, eating alone. Nowadays where got girls eat alone one.

Us: Ignore again!

Uncle: You know hor, girls cannot eat carrot one. Wait your hair will turn red like the carrot.

Us: .......

What the &*%$%#!!! Freak us out man! Luckily, after a while, the uncle left. *phew*

Anyway Ken and Alex (Sharon's husband) joined us shortly after we finished our dinner and we proceed to Instinct, a ktv pub near Bugis. Left after a jar of beer. Haha! No choice, next day got to work...

Lastly, meeting with Eileen and Clam. Met at Marina Square too. Shop for a while and had our dinner at 店小二. Food not bad, environment abit noisy la. After that hor, we continued shopping. *Wahaha*

Belle left earlier to meet Heng Heng. Me and eileen carry on with our shopping while waiting for Ken and after that, took a cab home.

Just want to thank everyone who celebrated my birthday with me. Thank you!
