UpdaTes!

ATTENTION PLEASE! I'M GOING TO UPDATE MY BOWLING SCORES FOR LAST NIGHT!!!
*roll drums*
*throw confetti*
*******************************
Wendy's score:-
Game 1: 88
Game 2: 157
Game 3: 145
Game 4: 103

Wahahaha! I've mentioned in my previous blog that the next time i update my bowling scores, i hope to see reasonable improvement right? Tadah!! 157 and 145 ok!! Mai siao siao ah.... *smirk*

First game is warming up so only 88 and last game is because my hands are tired thus 103 lor. Wahaha... full of excuses!!

Anyway i think 157 is the highest i've scored so far. Guess what, for the 2nd and 3rd game, i even won Ken lor, which is very unusual cause he's a bei pai (not bad) bowler leh.

Here's the scores for Ken:-

Game 1: 95
Game 2: 149
Game 3: 134
Game 4: 165

I want to express special thanks to P (my competitor cum friend) who is willing to lend me her personal ball.

"Thank you P!"

Hooray! Ken got to buy me a personal ball (inclusive of shoes, bag, other accessories??) because we had a bet with each other for the 2nd game. If i didn't score more than 120, i will buy him a personal ball and if he didn't score more than 180, he will buy for me instead. *hahahahaha*

Lucky me, i surpassed the 120! *smiling non stop*

Ken ah Ken, you better honour your words ok? If not i will spank you! Hint: I love the one i saw at Marina South... =) Better start saving MORE money because one more item has just been added to your MY-TO-BUY-FOR-LAU-PO list. *keekee*

Wonder if i can break my record of 157... Hmmm... will update again!

(I know for experts, 157 is like peanuts BUT to commoners like me, 157 is alot! So i'm not hao lian-ing but just purely expressing my happiness and excitement!)

IrritaTinG uNclE!

I hate taking bus 133 during peak hours, ie in the morning and evening because the bus will be damn crowded. Especially during the evening, i have to wait at least 15mins for the bus.

Imagine this, u waited for 15mins (starting to curse and swear) then finally u saw the 133 approaching your bus-stop. Wah, so happy (stop the cursing and swearing) then when it gets nearer and nearer... u saw the the bus is damn packed. You think "nvm, should be able to squeeze in" then u try to flag for the bus BUT the bus just simply zoom pass!!! Bloody hell @#&%*&^#@$!%$!!! CURSE AND SWEAR AGAIN coz i got to wait for another 15mins! *Pui*

I seriously think SBS should do something about it. During peak hours, they should arrange for MORE DOUBLE DECKER buses ma! Otherwise REDUCE the frequency of the waiting time lah! I don't understand why they can't adopt such simple logic. Instead, more double decker buses are seen during NON peak hours.... soOoOoOo 浪費 right?

Alright, that aside.

Today i boarded the usual 133 again. After a few stops, i got myself a seat (hooray!). So while enjoying my trip home, i suddenly felt that something was touching the back of my head. It turned out that one stupid uncle sitting behind me was reading his newspaper. Nvm, once or twice i still can take it because maybe the uncle didn't notice or did it on purpose. So i try to lower my head or body to avoid the newspaper BUT no matter how i lower myself, i can still feel the prescene of the newspaper! At this point of time, i'm very pissed liaoz! Stupid uncle, taking me for granted right? The more i lower myself, the more he lower his newspaper. @#$%$*&$%*%@!

So i sit up straight and use both my hands to stroke the back of my head, from top down. Making sure that my hand will touch his bloody newspaper, indirectly telling him that "hey ur stupid newspaper is irritating my hair!" He got the point and guai guai retreat his newspaper. *smirks*

I'm not trying to be mean lah but having to lower my head all the time during the bus journey is really very uncomfortable.

Anyway, i hope these people can be more considerate la. It's not as if the bus seats are super spacious. While reading newspaper (i'm referring to those 晚報, straits time kind... bigger size!) you will not only hinder the one sitting besides you, but also the one infront of you (which i'm the unlucky one this time). I'm not saying that these people can't read newspaper on bus, but they should at least be more considerate towards others like folding the newspaper into smaller size instead of maximising the whole newspaper. Get what i mean?

You can do whatever you want as long as 你不要把自己的快樂建立在別人的痛苦上. Nobody can stop you from reading newspaper but i can definitely tell you off for irritating me, stupid uncle!!

Oh, before i alight, i purposely turned around and stare at him.... I want to know how this irritating uncle looks like *heehee* and of cause to show him how displeased i am too! I know it's childish BUT CARE, i'm very pissed ok!

PoOr YoGee

YoGee: Mummy... How could you do this to me??? How could you destroy my brotherhood??

Me:
I'm sorry YoGee. I know it hurts but trust me, everything i do is for your own good!

**************************

From the 2 sentences, you would have guess what horrible things i've done to my dear YoGee. Yes, NEUTURING!

After much consideration, i finally plucked up my courage to send him for sterilization. It's costly for me, but torturing for YoGee. To me, it's financially.... to YoGee, it's physically! Poor YoGee!

YoGee has to finish his dinner before 8pm last night and from 8pm onwards, only drinks allowed. Being the everything-also-eat dog, he must be feeling very upset because the next eating time is 7pm tonight! Duh... Empty stomach for 24hrs... Oh my...

Ok, back to this morning.

We reached the clinic at 10am. My dog, not realising what's going to happen later (kaoz, what was i thinking? As if he can understand if i tell him ah!) is still in a i-am-happy-cause-mummy-and-daddy-brought-me-out mood. Upon seeing so many of his friends at the clinic, he is even happier lor... greeting here and there (simply means barking).

Anyway, it was a saturday morning and the clinic will be closing at 4pm, thus the clinic was flooded with pet owners like me. Struggling to register with the clinic's staffs. After much ado, my pet was brought into the room and i was advised to come back before 4pm...

So to kill the waiting time, ken and i went for breakfast then head to Marine Parade for a shopping spree. Bloody hell, within that short time i spent almost $100 on just one top, one pair of shoe, one eyebrow pencil and some other misc stuffs. I know maybe to some people, freaking $100 is nothing BUT not me, expecially during mid month ok! I want to be a RICH LADY so that i can spend as much as i like and won't be complaining like what i'm freaking doing now! Arghh~

Alright, back to YoGee.

Reached the clinic before 4pm as told. Saw familiar faces again... Yah... Those pet owners i saw in the morning. Know why? Cause the clinic auntie told almost everyone to come back before 4pm. What the....

Anyway this young lady went in to bring my dog out. My poor YoGee was f#*king happy when he saw us. He must be very trumatised and need lotsa TLC from us. Whining away... poor little thing. But guess what, my first thought was "YoGee looks like he's wearing pampers". OMG! i should slap myself. How could i still joke when my dear son YoGee have just gone through the most horrible operation - Sterilization!

Once we reached home, YoGee's behavior changed tremendously. Of cause not turning gay-ish la, duh! He suddenly became so bloody weak that he can't move an inch. Just standing there, stone-ing away. Guess he must be feeling horrible because we know he's damn tired and yet he can't lie or sit down. It's too painful i guess. *drop tears* Oh, i forgot to mention he was being vaccinated too, so i guess it's double torture for him. *drop more tears*

Alright, took 2 pictures of him in his most uncomfortable cum sad cum helpless cum tired cum painful look:

The thing he's wearing is the e-collar. To prevent him from licking his wound. Saw the white white patch at the back? Yupz, thats the pampers *opppsss* i mean bandage.

Here's a close-up:

Alright, I need to stop here! My son is giving me the pity look again. Mummy's coming ok...

Bad WeeK!

Besides Monday (i'm on leave), this whole week has been a really sucky week!

From Tues till today, i've been getting shit from C (the maggie mee)! This lady really got PMS. On tues, most of my colleagues gana shit from her. The shit i'm referring to is scolding of cause.

If i'm in the wrong then fine, i don't mind being scolded. BUT the problem is, I'm not in the wrong! What the F*#k!! Totally unreasonable... She'll demand an explanation from me (purely based on assumption that i'm definitely the one in the wrong) before even finding out what exactly has happened. This is not FAIR!

To fight back, i must be 101% sure that I'm NOT in the wrong first, then find out every bit and pieces of "evidence" to prove my innocence! Guess what, after she realised it's NOT my fault...she diam diam... Never reply my email. What the....

Sometimes i get so fustrated! Always get scolded for things that i'm not aware of. Hello, it's not my fault that i'm not aware of a certain process. In the 1st place, i don't even know such process exist, so how the hell would you expect me to check with my supervisor? Do you mean i should go around asking "Hey, is there anything i'm not aware of and you are responsible to inform me?"

Anyway on Wed evening, i heard FM93.3 saying my "working luck" for tomorrow is only 2 stars. Immediately i turned to my colleague and told her "Shit, tmr i'll be scolded by that Maggie Mee again." True enough, the next morning, i received a call from her! Though it's not exactly scolding, but it's definitely not something fantastic because she won't call me in the morning saying "Morning Wendy. Had your breakfast? Hope you will have a good day today... Take care."

When she's nice towards you... ah... better be careful. Hidden motives, hidden task. What to do, i'm just a small small employee of the company. No matter how smelly the shit is, i can only say "ok", "yes", "will take note", "will do", "sorry" etc... Poor me =(

I wonder when can i be my own boss? No need to see others' 臉色 and have the authority to scold my staffs! Wahahahaha!! Ok, I'm not that mean though... I'm actually rather reasonable as long as you don't step on my tails, look slimmer and prettier than me, taller than me, owns a better hp, has a nicer hair colour and i don't find you irritating then you'll be free from my scoldings. Haahaa! I'm just joking...

Actually alot of people will have the same thinking as me, to be an entrepreneur. I guess what's holding most of us back is the lack of good business ideas and capital. Most importantly, do we have the ability to grow the business? Maybe one can struggle to become a boss, but what's the point of not being able to withhold and grow the business, end up winding up right? Waste effort, time and $$$.

Well, since i know what's the main problems i'm facing now, i shall start working towards my goal tomorrow morning BUT that's provided after i woke up, i'm still aiming the same goal. *Heehee* I want to be called 老板娘! Lol...

加油! 加油! 加油! 加油!

CouSin's WeDDinG

Oh no, i can't believe it. I actually attended my cousin's wedding 2 days ago! Guess what, she's only 21 this year BUT her husband is 29! Don't be mistaken, i'm not making a big fuss about their age nor i'm saying my cousin is too young for marriage. Actually i'm just having mixed feelings over her wedding:-
  1. She got married earlier than me.... Unexpected...
  2. Her husband is older than me BUT he still got to call me 表姐... *Wahahaha*
  3. She would have less time for me when i go Malaysia...
  4. Most importantly, she might not be free to bring me for KTV next time... Cause her priority now is her husband and her new family... =(

Nevertheless, i'm still very happy for her despite the above 4 points... It's fate & destiny that brought her real happiness. My most sincere and warmest blessing to my 表妹 and 表妹夫!

Oh, for ur info, all my relatives (mother's side) are Malaysians. This explains why i go Malaysia so often... Not there to grab cheap stuff (actually not very cheap too!) or pump petrol but to visit my dearest Granny and relatives. In the past, my 表妹 and her present husband would bring Ken and me to JB for KTV sessions and shopping... 嗨... now that she has upgraded to "Mrs", will i still be able to enjoy the entitlements? Or i would have to rot in my Granny's home instead...?? Arghh!

Okok, i shouldn't be complaining since i've mentioned earlier that i'm happy for her right? Yupz, i shall shut my mouth and share some photos taken during her wedding instead...

1st dress for the night (Stupid waitress... Extra!)

2nd dress for the night... Yupz, they are having 交杯酒 ( i hope i didn't input the wrong chinese character)

The usual & traditional "Thanks for coming" practices in most weddings!

Heehee, how could i miss out taking photo with this beautiful bride!

**************************************************************
By the way, the dinner started at 7pm (fully sitted) and end off at 9pm. Damn early right? For us... Most of the time, you will see ur guests strolling in at 7pm (earliest timing), 3quarter occupied at 8.15pm, 1st dish served at 8.30pm and dinner ends off at 10.30++pm! I guess this is what we meant by different culture.

On the contrary, it could also be due to environmental factors.... Long travelling distance, poor road conditions and limited roadlamps! Maybe these are the contributing factors that results in a 7-9pm wedding dinner in Malaysia too.

For us, how long can we take to travel from Paris Ris to Boon Lay? Public transports are so convenient, our roads are smooth and well-lit, not to mention all the CTE, AYE, TPE, SLE, KJE, and whatever E that help us to reduce so So much travelling time.... Because of the convenience we are getting, can it justify that we can afford to have a 8.30 - 10.30pm wedding dinner?? Hmm... I guess partially 吧! What's the actual reason then, you ask? Well.. look at this scenerio:

Guest A: Dear, got to get going. Her wedding dinner starts at 7pm.

Guest B: No need to leave so early la. From Boon Lay to town, very fast one. Go early also nothing to do.

Guest A: Yah hor! Anyway sure got people late one. We go later then no need to wait so long!

Familiar?? Yupz... the actual reason is the genes and characteristics... we are the Typical Singaporeans 嗎! *opppsss.. No offence ok?*

9th Wonder of The World...

Ladies & Gentlemen... I now present to you the 9th Wonder of The World....

"The Most Sporty & Punctual DoG"!!!
Here's a close-up of this precious dog.....

SteamBoat

After a year, i finally fulfilled my promise to Belle last night - BBQ cum Steamboat with clams (飽貝)!!

You must be thinking "chey! Isn't this what we have during the usual Chinese Lunar New Year Dinner?" It's different ok! This is a 約定 between me and her. Reason? We both love to eat clams. So i promised her that i will organise a DIY mini steamboat cum bbq for her at Labrador Park (used to do that with Ken previously)... and we can eat all the clams till we vomit. *wahaha*

Anyway this little promise was delayed for a year because our dear Belle was so busy with her studies and during her vacations, she would be busy travelling with her caring & thoughtful HengHeng. Alright, i admit i contributed to the delay too. Sorry Belle!

To be precise, i only fulfilled half the promise. We did had a BBQ cum steamboat, but it wasn't a DIY at Labrador Park. We had it at Marina South instead, all because of the unpredictable weather. Yes, 不要懷疑, we had clams at Marina South.... Me and Eileen specially bought 2 cans of Fortune Clams, packed it in 2 plastic bowls and surprise our dear Belle at Marina South.

From her moody & grumpy mood -----> Surprised, excited and happy mood! *keekee*

Oh yah, was just wondering how come the clams are getting bigger and bigger nowadays....

Anyway, here's some other pictures taken during the dinner:

*Ta Da!!* Our main lead for the night, together with her HengHeng:

Belle with Eileen:

Me and Ken:

After the hearty meal, we were so full and bloated (smells too). As you know Marina South, other than steamboat, arcades, pubs and bowling alleys, there's basically nothing else to do. Somemore it was a Sat, full of people especially little Bengs & Lians. *opppsss*

We then drove all the way to Sentosa (which is like a short 10mins only) and settle for a quiet beach pub there, "Coastes". Sounds nice sitting by the beach, drinking beverages, enjoying the serenity and the sound of waves? *Pui* Not as nice as you think BECAUSE there's no wind! No seabreeze, but humid air.... So hot!

Despite that, we managed to keep ourselves entertained. Since we already paid $14 entrance fee to Sentosa (5adults + 2 cars), we might as well fully untilise our time right? There we are, posing and cheering away....

Thanks to eileen who comes up with a stupid game to keep us entertained *haha*....

And these pictures were taken while we were waiting for Belle and Heng to reach Sentosa:

Conclusion: Good food + Good Drinks + Good Location + Good Friends = Marvellous Gathering!

Thats all folks! Thanks for staying awake... *wink*

Team Dinner

Had a dinner tonight at Raffles City, with about 30 colleagues. As u can see from my title, it's stated as "Team Dinner", which means only HR staffs are invited for the FREE dinner. *Hahaha*

I won't disclose exactly how many people there are in my company (cause i also don't know... heehee) but i can tell you the company i'm working for has branches in KL, Shanghai, Bangkok, Hongkong... So consider 不大不小吧!

Anyway, if you are interested, these are my jobscopes:-

  1. Generate offer letters
  2. Keep track of new hires' medical reports
  3. Compute interns' salaries
  4. Co-ordinate interns attachment from NUS, NTU, TP and NP

Puzzled?? Actually mine is a HR outsourcing firm. So usually big companies will hire small company like us to handle all their HR matters. Yes, i'm supporting just a minor percentage ( 2% - 5% ??) of the total HR matters just by doing the above for our major client. Seems nothing great and easy to do right? *Pui* You can never imagine how demanding these "HRGs" are. *oppss*

Anyway, back to tonight's dinner.

We went to a North Indian Cuisine restaurant. Once i stepped in, i was choked by the overwhelming "indian" smell. Despite that, i must agree that their furnishing, ambience, services and dishes were pretty good. As for pricing, sorry i don't know cause it's fully paid by my company. *heehee* So i guessed it's more suitable for those with no budget constraint. It's located on the 3rd floor of Raffles City.

Here's a picture of their interior.

Last pic for the night. I supposed that's their 開渭 dish (appetizer)? Just like we chinese being served "peanuts" as our appetizer? Hmmm.....
